UNITED NATIONS: Panel Discussion on Regulation of MF
A panel discussion at UN headquarters preceding an upcoming study on good practices in regulation of microfinance.
On April 10, 2007, the United Nations' Financing for Development (FFD) office (within the Department of Economic and Social Affairs) held a panel discussion on the regulation of microfinance. The panel was moderated by Mr. José Antonio Ocampo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs. Presenters included:
- Mr. Joselito Gallardo of the Business Outreach Center Network
- Mr. Arnaud Ventura of PlaNet Finance
- Mr. Mark Bienstman of World Savings Bank Institute
- Mr. Richard Weingarten of the United Nations Capital Development Fund
